Joining a community service project is a great way to help people. Last month, my class joined a local project to clean up the city park. It was quite dirty, and there was (1) _______ rubbish on the grass and under the benches. We worked as volunteers to (2) __________ all the plastic bottles, cans, and bags left by careless visitors. The work was hard, (3) _______ we felt very happy when we saw the clean park. In the afternoon, we also painted the fences and planted some flowers around the playground, which made the park more colorful. Besides cleaning, our team also raised money for charity. Childhood obesity is becoming a serious health issue in Vietnam. According to UNICEF and WHO, the rate of overweight and obesity among children aged 5–19 increased from 8.5% in 2010 to almost 19% in 2020. The problem is more common in big cities, because children here often eat fast food, drink sugary beverages, and spend less time exercising.

Researchers also point out that lifestyle plays a big role. For example, some children walk or cycle to school. They are usually healthier than children who always by the motorbike or the bus. Also, not getting enough sleep can make them overweight.

Experts believe that parents and schools can help by encouraging healthy meals, more physical activity, and good sleep habits. It is important to take action now, because childhood obesity can lead to serious health problems later in life.
