(1) Protect Our Planet!
(2) What's wrong with burning fossil fuels?
(3) Burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas is very harmful to the environment. When we burn them for electricity, transport, or heating, they release a lot of carbon dioxide into the air. This gas traps heat around the Earth. As a result, our planet becomes warmer every year. This warming causes more storms, higher sea levels, and damaged ecosystems. Burning fossil fuels is one of the biggest causes of global warming.
(4) Choose clean energy, not fossil fuels!
Put the solutions for the suitable causes of global warming.
a. Plant more trees to replace the forests that have been cut down.
b. Use bicycles or walk instead of cars to reduce air pollution.
c. Use wood and paper carefully to reduce the need for cutting trees.
d. Use electric or hybrid vehicles to lower carbon dioxide emissions from transport.
e. Stop illegal logging by creating and enforcing strong forest protection laws.
f. Take public transport like buses or trains to save fuel and energy.

Put the solutions for the suitable causes of global warming.
a. Use clean energy like solar and wind to reduce factory pollution.
b. Use organic farming methods to reduce chemical fertilizers and protect the environment.
c. Install filters in factories to stop harmful gases from entering the air.
d. Recycle waste materials to prevent pollution and protect the environment.
e. Grow a variety of crops to keep the soil healthy and fertile.

a. Trees naturally absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide, a major greenhouse gas, and store it as they grow.
b. Protecting and restoring forests is therefore a vital step in fighting the climate crisis.
c. Fewer trees also mean less carbon dioxide is removed from the air, further accelerating the rise in global temperatures.
d. When forests are cut down or burned, this stored carbon is released back into the atmosphere, which adds to the greenhouse effect.
e. Deforestation has a serious impact on increasing global warming around the world.
a. The main effect is a serious lack of fresh water, which makes it hard for people to drink, bathe, and cook.
b. Without rain, farmers cannot grow the necessary crops, leading to poor harvests and food shortages in local markets.
c. Global warming is causing longer and more severe droughts in many parts of the world.
d. If droughts continue for too long, they can force entire communities to move, creating environmental refugees.
e. The dry land is also easily damaged by strong winds, sometimes creating huge, dangerous dust storms.
a. Global warming will make the world less safe and more difficult for future generations.
b. This competition could cause more conflicts and even wars between countries and within communities.
c. In this way, we are leaving a world full of unpredictable problems that young people in the future will have to handle.
d. Future generations will face a world where ecosystems are damaged and many animal and plant species no longer exist, reducing the resources they can use.
e. Extreme weather may stop farming in many places, creating strong competition for important resources such as land and water.
a. Always make an effort to recycle paper, glass, and plastic correctly, ensuring the materials can be reused.
b. Being a mindful consumer means buying only what you truly need, which conserves resources and reduces factory emissions.
c. Instead of throwing away old clothes or furniture, try to repair or donate them so they have a second life.
d. Reducing what you buy and throw away is a major part of lowering your personal impact.
e. When shopping, try to choose products with minimal packaging or buy items in bulk to reduce plastic waste.
a. When they show simple actions, like choosing eco-friendly products or visiting zero-waste stores, it becomes part of the everyday trend.
b. Influencers are vital because they help make green lifestyles seem normal and achievable to their followers.
c. This constant visual reinforcement helps to normalize environmentally responsible behavior in their online community.
d. By demonstrating that sustainability is not difficult or expensive, they motivate young people to try these changes themselves.
e. Essentially, they use their platforms to turn climate consciousness into a widely accepted social norm.
a. When shopping online, individuals should spend time finding brands that are genuinely committed to sustainability.
c. Check if the brand has reliable certifications or labels that confirm their ethical sourcing and production methods.
b. It is also wise to favor businesses that offer high-quality items designed to be repairable rather than disposable.
d. Look for companies that clearly state their efforts to use renewable energy in their manufacturing processes.
e. Choosing these responsible brands supports the wider move towards a more circular economy.
a. Furthermore, using local renewable sources makes cities less reliant on expensive and politically unstable oil and gas supplies.
b. The main reason is that fossil fuels release harmful pollution into the air, which causes serious breathing problems for city residents.
c. Switching to clean energy immediately improves the air quality, making urban environments much healthier for everyone.
d. Adopting clean energy is therefore essential for creating healthy, self-sufficient, and sustainable urban areas.
e. Cities must urgently replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources like solar and wind power.
Dear Students,
a. This decision was made because the main speaker had an unexpected family emergency.
b. We understand that many of you were looking forward to this event, and we apologize for any problems or disappointment this causes.
c. I am very sorry to tell you that the Climate Action Workshop, which was planned for next week on Friday, November 22nd, has been canceled.
d. We will send you an email with the new details as soon as we can confirm them.
e. We are already working to find a new date and hope to reschedule the workshop soon, maybe in the next two months.

Dear Neighbors,
Let's work together to make our neighborhood look great! We are organizing a Community Clean-Up Day and we need your help.
a. The clean-up day will be on Saturday, May 10th, starting at 9:30 AM. We will meet at the main entrance of Oakwood Park.
b. Please bring gloves if you have them. We will provide trash bags and safety vests for everyone.
c. We will work for about two hours, picking up trash and tidying the public areas.
d. It will be fun, and our street will look better for everyone! We hope to see you there.
e. It is a great chance to meet people and help the environment at the same time.
Thank you,
The Neighborhood Committee
Dear Madam,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing as a neighbor with a suggestion for a community event.
a. We could set a day in July, and ask everyone to bring their old items to a central point, like the community hall parking lot.
b. We can contact a recycling company to pick up everything at the end of the day. This would make recycling easy for everyone.
c. Many people in our area have old electronics, like broken TVs and phones, that they need to recycle safely.
d. I would like to suggest that we organize an E-Waste Collection Day right here in our neighborhood.
e. It is often hard for people to take these big items to the recycling center far away.
Could we discuss how to plan this event? I am happy to help organize it.
Best regards,
Joe Swift
Dear City Parks Department,
I am writing to report a serious problem with illegal dumping in the area of Riverwood Park.
a. It is also a very unpleasant sight for people who use the park.
b. I live nearby and have recently seen trash left in the environment where it should not be.
c. Could your team please investigate this area and arrange for the trash to be removed as soon as possible?
d. This is a big problem because the waste is polluting the park and harming the wildlife.
e. On Wednesday, 2 days ago, I noticed a lot of large items dumped near the path edge, close to the main parking lot. This trash included old tires, broken wood, and plastic bags.
Thank you for taking care of our local environment.
Sincerely,
Tran Binh An
Dear Students and Teachers,
Get ready for some fun!
a. Let's make our school greener. Please start saving your items at home now and bring them in next week.
b. Your class simply needs to collect the most plastic bottles and aluminum cans during this time. We will have special bins in the hallway to put your items in.
c. The challenge starts on Monday, November 25th and runs for three weeks.
d. The goal is to show how much waste we can recycle when we work together. The class that collects the most items will win a pizza party at the end of the challenge!
e. Our school is starting a special competition called the Green Heroes Recycling Challenge. It is a great way to help the planet and win a prize!
Good luck to everyone!
