Last weekend, I went to (1) ___________ Indian restaurant with my friend, and it was a very interesting experience. When we walked inside, the place smelled like many strong spices, and the music was (2) ___________. The waiter was friendly and helped us choose some dishes (3) ___________ it was our first time trying Indian food. We ordered butter chicken, naan bread, and vegetable curry. The colors of the food were bright, and everything looked delicious.

When I tried the dishes, the flavors were rich. The butter chicken was creamy, and the naan was warm and soft. Some dishes were a little spicy, but I still (4) ___________ them. I drank a sweet mango lassi to cool down, and it tasted very nice. My friend and I talked a lot and had a great time. 1. Last summer, I visited Kyoto and joined the famous Gion Festival. The weather forecast said it would rain, but luckily, it only rained after the festival was over. It was my second time at Gion Festival, but I still felt very excited. When I arrived, I saw many people walking on the streets, and everything looked bright and colorful.

2. During the festival, I watched a parade with large wooden floats. The floats were decorated with beautiful fabric and gold details, and many men pulled them slowly through the streets. I tried some local snacks like yakitori, okonomiyaki and dango. I wanted to try takoyaki, but it has octopus, which I am allergic to.

3. There were many games at the festival. I played kingyo-sukui, a game where you try to catch little goldfish using a small paper spoon. The local children caught so many, but I didn't get a single one! But it was a fun experience that I'll never forget.
